99% of the time, i talk truth. most people cannot handle the truth (or the way I tell the truth).
Yes, I have riden in and driven coil over equipped Z32 cars (3 known to date).
Kuah has Tein Type-RA coilovers. I instructed him on the race track. On the track, the suspension was firm. I noticed he never adjusted them while he was at the track. The feel of the car was similar to mine with my shocks set to 4 or 5.
John(Houston) has Tein Type HA Coilovers w/ Upper Pillowball Mount. I instructed him on the race track as well as drove his car. On the track, the suspension was firm. I noticed he never adjusted them while he was at the track. The feel of the car was similar to mine with my shocks set to 4 or 5.
Russell(Dallas) (profile not upto date) also has Teins (type ?). His car is a bladder blaster on the streets. It was is almost absurd.

I can attain the EXACT SAME characteristics by simply turning my shock adjuster (Tokico 5 ways) to 4 or 5, track dependant. I now have a very stiff controllable ride at 1/4 the cost.

Remember, "coilovers" feature identical parts as regular shock and springs. Only the spring is mounted to the shock, making a single unit. Much like struts. There is nothing overwelming about coilovers design that make them night and day.

:Single threaded coilovers that preload the spring are the ones that are a real bear to deal with. However coilovers like the Flex's where you can lower you car and still maintain full shaft travel and keep the spring unloaded really are not bad at all.
that is a very nice design. I like that. But am still not sold on the cost versus performance gains over regular eibachs.

:We recently installed some Teins on a Supra that had Eibachs and Konis and he said the car never rode so smooth.
maybe said friend had effed up suspension in the first place? apple to apples? Who's to know.
